[Japanese Speaking] Purchasing Executive
Junior Executive
Responsibilities:
- Support daily procurement activities, including sourcing, vendor coordination, and purchase order processing.
- Assist in identifying and evaluating suppliers based on cost, quality, and delivery performance.
- Work closely with internal teams to understand material and service requirements.
- Maintain good relationships with suppliers and ensure smooth communication.
- Monitor delivery schedules and follow up with suppliers to ensure timely fulfillment.
- Prepare and review purchase orders for accuracy and completeness.
- Communicate with headquarters in Japan, Japanese suppliers, and stakeholders in Japanese (spoken and written).
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and procedures.
- Assist in preparing basic reports such as purchase records, supplier performance, and cost tracking.
- Provide general administrative and coordination support to the procurement team.
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts to enhance procurement efficiency.
Requirements:
- Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proficiency in Japanese (spoken, read and written) is mandatory; JLPT N2 or above is preferred.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply; relevant internship or working experience is a plus.
- Basic understanding of procurement or purchasing processes is an advantage.
- Good communication, organizational, and coordination skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
